<h2>The Venue</h2>

<p>Eye Kettleby Lakes is an atmospheric pine cladded timber lodge surrounded by large fishing lakes in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside.</p>

<h3>How to get there</h3>

<p>One mile from Melton Mowbray on the A607 towards Leicester, turning off at the signs for Great Dolby follow the brown tourism signs to the Eye Kettleby fishing lakes.</p>

<h2>Course Booking Terms and Conditions</h2>

<p>These terms and conditions govern all courses run by Ann Maurice Ltd of 575-599 Maxted Road, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, HP2 7ED (the "Company"). Those booking and/or attending the course ("Delegates") should retain a copy of these terms and conditions for their records.</p>

<h3>Payment and course fee</h3>

<p>1.1 Payment of the full course fee is required at time of booking in order to secure your place.</p>

<p>The course fee covers training, course materials and some light refreshments during the day. The course fee does not cover transport or accommodation.</p>

<h3>Cancellations</h3>

<p>Refunds will not be given in any circumstances (except if the cancellation of the seminar is at the request of the Company), however, tickets can be resold and bookings can be transferred to another seminar on a different date if notice is given 4 weeks prior to the originally booked event. No transfers can be carried out within 4 weeks prior to the originally booked event.</p>

<h3>Course details</h3>

<p>The Company retains the right to cancel or alter the programme of the seminars at any time. In the event of a cancellation by the Company a refund will be given to Delegates if another suitable date for the seminar cannot be agreed.</p>

<p>All copyright, design right and other intellectual property rights used, created or embodied in or arising out of or in connection with the seminar and in particular but without limitation the use of the HOUSE DOCTOR™ name remains the exclusive property of the Company and the Delegate shall not during or at any time after the completion of the seminar dispute the ownership of such rights.</p>

<p>All materials and information (in whatever form) provided by the Company in connection with the seminar shall not be copied, distributed or be made available to third parties and shall be used only for the purpose for which they were provided. <p>To achieve this title, you must submit 3 bodies of work (before and after photos and reports) to an assigned House Doctor mentor for approval, as well as a letter of evaluation from each client.  Once approved, you will be awarded Consultant status within the House Doctor Network and receive a Certificate. </p>

<p>Consultant status brings with it a listing on the House Doctor Network online Directory of Professionals, free for 3 months. This listing will give potential clients ongoing access to your contact details enabling you to build your business and develop your portfolio. You will have an option to renew the listing after 3 months for an annual fee of £250.00 + VAT.</p>

<p>Senior Consultants will be given their own web page on the House Doctor website, to include your photo, before and after photos of your work, a personal biography, and link to your own personal business website. There will be a £500.00 + VAT fee per annum for this listing.</p>

She has since become one of the top property / interior design faces on British Television, whose programmes attract in excess of 2.5 million viewers per episode </p>

<p>The House Doctor programmes are now broadcast in a number of countries including USA, UK, South Africa, New Zealand and Canada and are rapidly gaining in popularity as in the U.K.</p>

<p>Ann's most recent programme is called ‘Ann Maurice Interior Rivalry’. In this programme Ann Maurice puts hundreds of home-staging wannabes through their paces in an arduous set of tasks to test their design skills. The prize is a chance to start their own business in Home Staging. The second series of Interior Rivalry aired on Channel 5 in the UK in Spring 2007.</p>

<p>Ann has published six books 'Ann Maurice, House Doctor'; 'Ann Maurice, House Doctor - Quick Fixes'; 'House Doctor - Instant Makeovers'; 'The Best of House Doctor', 'The Property Book' and 'House Doctor: A-Z of Design'.</p> 

<p>Aside from her filming and publishing commitments, she writes a regular feature for Real Homes magazine, and for a quarterly publication called American in Britain magazine, as well as taking on a host of private design projects.<p>

<p>Ann also conducts a series of courses on Property Presentation and Home Staging. Created and led by Ann, the courses cover techniques of Property Presentation, from both  practical and aesthetic points of view.  Her advanced level courses are designed to prepare and train individuals for a career in residential home staging, with a primary focus on presentation techniques for the real estate sales market.</p> 

<p>Now anyone can have the next best thing to a visit from the House Doctor herself. In July 2006 Ann Maurice launched the House Doctor Network in order to meet the public’s demand for qualified staging Home Staging professionals. A four-tiered training programme and assessment is designed to ensure that her qualified trained professionals will bring Ann's high standards with them to the marketplace. The House Doctor Network Consultant services range from advice consultancy via verbal or written report through to impementation and project management.  Their services include: Home Staging for selling or renting; Styling for new property developments; Furnishing for properties to let; Interior redesign for home owners; Decluttering and reorganisation; Personal shopping and Styling for events.</p> 

<p>Most recently, in 2007 Ann launched her Introductory Property Presentation Distance Course and Essential Guide to Home Staging and Property Presentation DVD - ideal for those individuals who cannot make the journey to London to attend her courses in person.</p>

<p>Ann Maurice regularly participates in a wide range of speaking opportunities. Most recently, in 2007 she was guest speaker at The Ideal Home Show, London; The Society of Decorating Professionals Annual Conference in Chicago, The Certified Staging Professionals Annual Convention in Toronto and The Ideal Home Show in Scotland.</p>

<p>When she is not in England filming House Doctor, Ann divides her time between her main home in San Francisco, California and her holiday home in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Both properties were long-term design projects in their own rights.</p>

<p>Ann has two grown daughters, Lauryn and Melanie, two granddaughters,  Nicole and Anna, one grandson, Greg, a partner Timothy, all who reside in California.</p>

<p>She has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, studied Interior Design at the University of California and is a graduate of the Colour Research Institute of America.</p>

In this show, we'll see Ann Maurice in her professional role as interior designer rather than home stager, as she tackles homeowners who want to spruce up their properties but have very different ideas regarding how to go about it. </p>
